Taejas is a first-year PhD student at the University of Groningen. He is interested in modelling the dynamics of exoplanet atmospheres, specifically their variability over short timescales and the observable signatures thereof in full phase curve data. At present, his focus is on self-luminous objects, such as the brown dwarf VHS1256b, as well as other dynamically interesting scenarios such as eccentric orbiters. He is also interested in the coupling of atmospheric retrieval frameworks to these robust theoretical models of variability, in order to thoroughly exploit the detail present in phase curve observations from current and future missions.
